I've known of Rex Anderson for about 5 years now, as a number of my riding buddies had bought horses from him. I know these horses well, having ridden MANY trail rides with them. These horses have stood out as trust worthy, reliable, wonderfully well gaited mounts. However, I personally didn't meet Rex until a year ago. I was at that time, just coming back from COMPLETELY loosing my nerve with horses, after having bred and trained Icelandics for a number of years. I was riding, then, a white foxtrotter gelding from show bloodlines, that was too much horse for me because of his tendency to jump and spook at things. Then I met Rex.... and along with Rex, the horse that was soon to become the love of my life, Dillon (the palomino pictured to the left). Dillon was JUST what I needed to regain my nerve without having to ride a boring deadhead of a horse. Dillon took me on many challenging and speedy, fun rides... and always took good care of me. To top it off... he was a basically untrained, coming 4 year old stallion when I bought him. However, because he was so well bred... that didn't matter, his temperament was what it needed to be from the get go, and I always felt safe with him.

Then about six months ago, my riding buddy girls and I made a trip down to Blanding with our horses, to go for a ride with Rex. I have to say, it was SO MUCH FUN!!! The canyon he took us in was amazing, full of natural beauties and Native American ruins. Towards the back of the canyon, it felt so surreal as we rode up on a herd of Rex's horses, with the stallion, mares and foals - in a natural environment. I felt like we'd gone back in time to the old west. In addition, I was able to get to know Rex better, and have found him to be one of the most wonderful people I know. He has since continued to help me on the road to regaining my confidence, and teaching me better ways to communicate with my horses.

I recently bought two more horses from Rex, including the bay pictured to the left and palomino pictures below. They are currently untrained 2 1/2 and 4 year old stallions - and I must admit that Rex's horse breeding program is the ONLY place I would consider buying young untrained horses to start myself - stallions nonetheless! I'm very pleased with my new boys. Again, I've found horses to bond with whose temperaments are fantastic. Good Job Rex! Keep up the GREAT work!
